Lehrtext über die Rechtschreibung. Er beginnt mit einer Rechtfertigung der Orthographie. Diese besteht in der apodiktischen Aussage, dass das Richtige immer nur eins sein kann. Es folgt eine Definition der Orthographie. Er geht hierbei von einem Primat der Aussprache aus. Fragen der Rechtschreibung beziehen sich entweder darauf, (a) was geschrieben werden soll, (b) wie etwas geschrieben werden soll oder (c) wieviel geschrieben werden soll. Von der Rechtschreibung werden folgende Aspekte behandelt: Akzentsetzung, Diphthonge, Konsonanten, Aspiration, die Buchstaben K und Q, Buchstabendoppelung, die griechischen Buchstaben Z und Y, der Buchstabe X, Derivative, Archaismen, Kurzschrift, Interpunktion.
